Maintenance Technician

Location: Warren, OH

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll bring skill, attention to detail, and a helpful spirit to everything you do. You’ll support the Mercer, Mahoning, and Trumbull Centers while maintaining facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for seniors and staff. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and supporting others in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.

Hourly Wage:

$21.50 /hr.

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Perform repairs and upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks

  • Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times

  • Clean and maintain common areas, windows, lights, and exterior spaces

  • Monitor equipment and report malfunctions or hazards promptly

  • Assist with heating, cooling, and other systems as needed

  • Replenish maintenance supplies and follow established schedules

  • Work collaboratively with staff, participants, and supervisors, offering support when needed

  • Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire — we’ll provide the training!)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • General maintenance experience required

  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population preferred — or willingness to complete company-paid training

  • Valid driver’s license

Requirements:

  • Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move, lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly

  • Must be able to assist with Participant evacuations when necessary

  • May work in a variety of areas, including outdoors and high places
